Vacation Yachting is a charter company based in Greece that owns and operates an Atlantic 55 yacht available for skippered yacht charter. The operations are headed by Marcos Voutsinos, who will be your skipper and Betty van der Mei who does the administration.

Vacation Yachting specialises in sailing holidays for families and friends on our skippered Atlantic 55 “ALBA”.

We are based in the Cyclades on the island of Syros in the heart of the South Aegean Sea. We operate mostly in the Cyclades as this island group is particularly requested by our clients but if our schedule permits we can also include the islands of the Saronic Gulf, the mainland of the Peloponnese and the islands of the Dodecanese.

The advantage of starting your charter in the Cyclades is that with one week at your disposal you have the opportunity to go as far as Santorini.

Many islands in the Cyclades have airports and all can be reached by ferry. Syros is the capital island of the Cyclades and surrounded by Mykonos, Paros, Naxos, Sifnos and the small Cyclades such as Koufonissi, Folegandros, Schinoussa and of course Santorini.

Most of our clients like to combine the more famous islands with the smaller less known ones.

According to our bookings you can start your charter from Lavrio (Athens), Syros, Mykonos or Santorini.
Of course the sooner you book the better as this gives you the choice of where to start and finish.

There is no better way to see Greece than from aboard a sailing yacht.  Each day discovering a new island, staying overnight in a remote bay under a starlit sky or in a small fishing harbor waking up in the morning to a beautiful panorama ready for a swim or a stroll.

With safety at sea being of paramount importance the advantages of renting a yacht with a qualified and experienced skipper are great. Marco’s knowledge of the Aegean Sea is invaluable and he can take you to places you  would never discover alone. He will take you to some of the most idyllic locations in Greece. Imagine stopping in a quiet bay for a swim in the crystal clear waters of the warm Aegean Sea!

You do not need any sailing experience, all you have to do is relax and enjoy the sea and the islands but, if you wish, Marco will be happy to teach you some sailing and leave the steering to you.

On request and for an extra fee, you can have a hostess on board who will prepare your meals and tidy up (see under RATES for the price)

A week or two sailing with an experienced captain will teach you a lot about sailing. As we have been in the charter business since 1978 we know that different clients have different expectations of their sailing holiday and we would like you to enjoy your time with us and have a sailing holiday beyond comparison!
