A TYPICAL DAY on ALBA IV yacht starts in the marina of your island of choice where you will spend the night.

Upon waking up to a splendid view of a typical Greek village and surrounding hills you can have your breakfast either on board or in a café by the sea.

The bakeries in Greece have wonderful bread, croissants, pies and much more.
After breakfast and maybe some shopping you will set sail for a bay (weather permitting) where you will drop anchor for a few hours. This is a great opportunity to dive into the deep blue waters and enjoy a refreshing swim.

You can also prepare something to eat like for example a Greek salad, some cucumber, tomatoes, feta cheese, olives, capers and onions. This salad, together with the fresh bread you bought in the morning and a bottle of cool white wine is all you need to make you feel you are in heaven (and you are….)

Maybe Marco will catch some sea urchins or an octopus and he will be happy to prepare these for you.

After a few hours in paradise you will weigh anchor and sail to an exciting new island where you will arrive around 3-4 pm which gives you plenty of time to look around.

On each island you can rent motorbikes or a car but if you prefer  Marco can take you around in a minibus and show you the main attractions of the island.
In the evening you can either eat on the boat or head for a typical Greek taverna where you can taste the local cuisine.

Marco knows the best tavernas on each island and can suggest  dishes and delicacies each enriched with fresh mountain herbs. Each island has different local specialities. Many family taverna’s breed their own poultry and goats.

Have a look at  Matt Barrett’s very interesting website about  Greek cuisine: http://www.greecefoods.com/
It is also possible to book a gourmet charter.  Dinner and local wine is included in the price and Marco will introduce you to typical Greek cuisine with all the local specialities  and also teach you how to cook some typical Greek plates. See RATES for the price.

You can ask Betty for more information about the minibus tour and the gourmet charter.

After dinner you can either go for a walk or head for a bar to meet new people or just go back to the boat for a nightcap with your friends before retiring to your cabin.
After a day of sun and sea sleep will come easily.
